I started ballroom and Latin dancing when I was just 7 years old, and from that first lesson i was hooked, along with my family. My whole family caught the dancing bug, and we spent the next 4 years creating some of the happiest memories of my childhood. I'm talking new sparkly dance shoes, medal tests, and my first-ever dancing dress - it was all so exciting! When I turned 11, I added sequence dancing, which was all about those huge puffball dresses and traveling around the country for competitions. I made some amazing friends from all over the world, and we had a blast together at festivals and yes there were still even more medal tests. Looking back, I'm so grateful for those experiences and how they've shaped who I am today.

I was thrilled when my parents passed their Professional exams and started a dancing school. Dancing has always been my passion, so as soon as I turned 16, I began studying and taking various Professional exams in Ballroom, Latin, and Sequence. It didn't take long before I found myself teaching most nights, which was an absolute dream come true. We even organised various competitions, including the Hertfordshire Championships and our highly popular Christmas competition. Additionally, we put hundreds of children and adults through their medals and ran very successful social classes around Hertfordshire. Our dancing children competed every weekend around the country, and we all have such wonderful memories of these times and the friendships they also found. Even after 40 years and two children of my own later, I still get excited buying new dance shoes, and I absolutely love the way dancing makes me feel. With a new dance school, I'm eagerly looking forward to passing on my dancing bug to others and sharing my passion for dancing.
